Hey everyone!!! Hope we are all doing good?
So, So, So sorry i disappeared!!! Life has been pretty hectic. Then, all my electronic devices waged war against me and refused to work. After some frustrating few weeks, all is good now. And I'm back.
Hair wise, I've been wigging for about 4 weeks now. I'm currently 11 weeks post but I feel like I'm 20 weeks post. My new growth tangles like crazy and is so thick and dense. whenever i wig, i usually wash my hair every 2 weeks but my hair has been drier than usual so I've been washing it weekly now.
I had a wash day this weekend and here is how it went:
- Unraveled box braids and detangled with Johnson Easy buddy detangler. Put hair in four sections.
- Prepooed with an egg yolk, amla oil and olive oil. I meant to leave it on for an hour but I got busy and when i was ready to wash, it was 4 hours later.
- Rinsed off prepoo with cold water and washed hair with warm water using Dudu Osun black soap.
- Deep conditioned with heat using ORS Replenishing conditioner and Profectiv Mega growth Detangling conditioner for 45 minutes.
- Rinsed off with cold water and wrapped hair with T-shirt for 20 minutes to absorb excess water. Applied leave-ins: Double Sheen Argan oil leave-in conditioner and ORS Humidity control serum. I was too tired to blowdry my hair loop so I just put it in 8 sections and air-dried overnight.
The next morning, being Sunday, I decided to wear my hair out to church so I put it in two flat twists and bunned my ends
I really love this style and my hair really looked texlaxed. People always ask me if I'm natural and now I can see why. Texlaxed hair rocks!!!
I'm working on something for the blog, which will be unveiled in time. I'm also currently experimenting with a growth aid, which I'll soon reveal with the results. Do check back soon.
Cheers, Fatee
