Hey everyone!!! How we all doing????
This post is two weeks late and I apologise for that.
Here’s how my wash day went:
- DCed on dry hair with Profectiv Mega growth Detangling Conditioner for 20 minutes with heat. This conditioner’s slip is amazing and my pre-wash detangling session went smooth.
- Co washed with VO5 Kiwi and Lime squeeze Clarifying Conditioner.
- Wrapped a T-shirt around my hair to absorb the extra water.
- Applied my leave-ins: Motions CPR leave-in conditioner and ORS Humidity control serum, detangled and air-dried.
When my hair was about 50% dry, I decided to try Bantu knots. Bantu knots are something I’ve always wanted to try, but never got around to doing it. I watched a few videos on YouTube to see how to go about it.
- I parted my hair into about 12 sections. I applied whipped Shea butter to a section before tying the knot.
- I let the knots dry overnight. The next morning, I applied coconut oil to my palms before unravelling the knots. I fluffed and styled.
I was so happy with the results!!! I mentioned that I’ve had bad luck with curly hairstyles, but this came out amazing. I wish I could have taken more pics but I had a plane to catch and I was running late.
Will I do Bantu knots again? Yes, yes yes!!! I think I’m in love
Tips about Bantu Knots
- Describing how to do a Bantu knot in writing is really difficult. If you don’t know how to do a Bantu knot, I suggest you go to YouTube. There are a lot of videos you can watch that give a perfect description.
- The more knots you do, the more curls you’ll have.
- When unravelling the knots, make sure you coat your palms with oil to prevent the curls from frizzing.
- Your curls will last longer if you use a holding product such as gel or setting lotion.
Cheers, Fatee
